Expert panels with audience discussion
The Advertising
Educational Foundation (AEF) hosted its Annual Symposium during
Advertising Week 2005. Keith
Reinhard, Chairman, DDB Worldwide Communications
Group Inc., provided an overview followed by the keynote address. Two
panels raised the discourse on the subject of social responsibility
of the advertising industry and the critically important issue of children's
health and wellness. A panel of top marketers, moderated by Keith Reinhard,
focused on the socially important role of advertising to their businesses.
A second panel, moderated by Paul
Kurnit, President, KidShop and Kurnit
Communications (Member, Institute of Medicine Committee on Food Marketing
and the Diets of Children and Youth), included experts from the industry,
academia and government. They discussed the role of advertising and
marketing relative to children's health and wellness.
